Rumor Update: Sprint HTC Supersonic
Earlier this week we reported on the rumored HTC Supersonic, which will reportedly have a 4.3-inch screen and support for Sprint’s WiMAX service.
Follow-up rumors reveal an additional detail: the HTC Supersonic will be one of the first with Android OS 3.0. If this is true, it means the launch probably isn’t coming any time soon. Version 2.1 of Google’s mobile operating system was just released a few weeks ago, so it could certainly be a few months before we see any devices based on version 3.0 on the market.
Of course, this assumes that the unconfirmed report that the Supersonic will be based on Android OS 3.0 is correct.
The picture above is an HTC HD2 running Android, all rumors point to Supersonic being an HTC HD2 relative, pretty sweet looking phone, makes the Droid and the Nexus One look like children’s toys
