Swype for Android Goes Beta
Good news for those of you waiting to get your hands on an official version of Swype, they opened up a beta program for Android. To get your copy here’s what you need to do:
- Register for the beta program.
- Open to a limited number of testers, sign up now
- If you already have a bootlegged version of Swype on your device you’ll want to uninstall that before installing the beta
- HVGA and WGVA resolutions only, automatically detected so you get the correct version
- Available for English and Spanish, other languages to come
- Support is done via Swype’s forums
- If your phone came pre-installed with Swype (T-Mobile’s updated myTouch3G), DON’T download the beta. It won’t work
